Months after ending her relationship with Travis Kelce, Instagram Influencer Kayla Nicole realizes she wasted 5-years of her life waiting on a man to marry her.
The Savage x Fenty ambassador recently took to TikTok and spoke on how she thought she would be getting married after five years of dating the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.
The caption in the video says:
“You’re not stupid Kayla….No, I am actually……Thought I’d get wifed after dating for 5 years….that’s 1,825 days.”
Nicole had to sit and watch as her good friend, Brittany Matthews, get married to Patrick Mahomes, have a child, and then get pregnant with a second one while her relationship never progressed.
In March, Kayla recalled meeting Kelce for the first time when she took part in an “ask me anything” on Instagram.
“He had been following me and insta-flirting for a few months,” Kayla, 30, wrote when asked how she met the 32-year-old Chiefs player. “All double taps and no dm. Soooo after a little liquid courage and a pep talk from @iqueenb (something along the lines of ‘WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR’) I dm’d him on New Years.
“Slid into that thang like it was third base, idk baseball so not sure that’s the best analogy, but ya,” she continued in a separate Instagram Story. “Anywho … lesson here is making the first move might be your best move sis.”

Kayla has since deleted an Instagram tribute to Kelce, which she shared earlier this year after the Chiefs’ season ended in an AFC Championship loss to the Bengals.
Guess it’s time to move on.
Kayla is a beautiful, hard-working woman. Yet like most every day women and celebrity women, she has very little understanding of how men work.
A marriage with a man has to be negotiated.
When you are young, you’re willing to go with the flow and let a man lead the direction of the relationship. When you are a wise woman you get with a man who is leading the relationship where you want it to go, based upon your unspoken strategy. Which is what Kayla should of had when she jumped in him DM’s being easy.
Kayla knew she wanted to get married the whole time. But she was willing to suppress her desires for 5-years. Men often do not marry women who suppress their own feelings and emotions. They definitely don’t marry the woman who chases. Such a woman fails to put herself first. Kayla failed to reverse the game on him once she had him.
She placed more value on him because he’s an NFL star than she did on herself.
These day every woman should invest in a dating coach so that she can get what she wants faster. That will eliminate 25-years of trying to figure it out on your own.
Either way she’s winning, because she has our attention.
Hopefully she peeps game and has a strategy with the next inbox she pops in. Cause keeping a man’s attention and getting him to do what you want him to do is a whole new ball game.
