This child support battle between Grey’s Anatomy star Jesse Williams and his ex-wife Aryn Drake-Lee is sooo messy.
Aryn plans to represent herself after deciding to drop her divorce attorney Merissa V. Grayson . She has informed the court she plans to represent herself in her battle to increase her child support payments.
The decision to change up her strategy comes weeks after she suffered a huge loss in court. As RadarOnline.com first reported, Jesse and Aryn have been fighting over his child support payments since December.
The actor had been paying $40k a month for the two children he shares with his ex — a number that was reached based on his 2019 income of $6 million+ when he was appearing on the ABC drama.
Late last year, Jesse filed a declaration under seal explaining his dire financial situation. He said since leaving Grey’s in early 2021 — to explore other career opportunities — he had yet to lock down a lucrative acting role.
“My current income is far from sufficient to maintain a $40,000 per month child support number, especially since I still pay one-half of the children’s private school tuition, the children’s extracurricular activities, medical care, and all of their expenses when they are with me including child-care and my own expenses,” he claimed.
Jesse is currently starring in the Broadway show Take Me Out where he only receives $1,600 a week. Aryn scoffed at the plea to reduce the child support obligations.
He also accused Aryn of having, “spent thousands of dollars on failed or failing businesses while failing to seek gainful employment despite having an Ivy League degree, speaking 3 languages, and having a wealth of competitive real estate experience.”
The Hollywood star said his ex should get a job and help cover the costs of raising their kids.
She argued Jesse’s decision to leave a high-paying job meant he was selfish and put his own needs ahead of his children.
The court ended up siding with Jesse and temporarily slashed his child support payments down to $6k. The exes are set to appear in court in August to fight for a permanent order on support — where Aryn will demand the amount be increased substantially.
Jesse seems to be a messed up kind of guy. Talking about her many failed businesses was not cool. It takes bravery to build businesses, and they don’t always take off as fast as you would like.
As to her having an ivy league degree, he may be right that she can get a great job. In fact, she can get a 6 Figure job. But that’s neither here nor there.
The real juice here is that she took care of this man and supported him in his desire to become an actor. Women do not like listening when told not to build a man. But this situation is what happens nearly every time.
Jesse sees Aryn as a PROVIDER, and not a soft feminine woman who needs to be luxuriously provided for. He covers the cost of the kids and that’s that.
Let this be a lesson to get a man who provides, and build a successful business during that time.

After calling Carey one of his “best friends,” for whom he has “so much respect,” Cannon admitted he’s “probably still going through it” and hasn’t fully healed from their divorce.
“Divorce is a sense of, ‘You failed,’ and when you have that level of failure with everyone seeing it, it was a lot on me for a long time,” he said. “I didn’t really know how to process it. I had to go find myself. I had to go within.”
From there, Cannon reiterated, “The traditional sense of monogamy, I don’t subscribe to.”
“I let [the women I have children with] know from the gate [about my views towards marriage]. It’s not out of disrespect, it’s more respect,” he explained. “It’s, ‘I’m going to come to you as honest as I possibly can. This is who I am, this is what I struggle with, this is where I feel like I excel. If we can coexist, you’re responsible for your happiness. If I can add to it, I’m here. If I don’t add to it, I shouldn’t be here.”

We love to blame everything on men. But women must take some accountability for the choices they make in men. Women disrespect themselves by dating such a man as Antonio with a history of being disrespectful to women. People Reports: The fiancée of late rapper DMX is still grappling with his loss nearly a year after his tragic death.
Desiree Lindstrom, who shared 5-year-old son Exodus with the musician, opened up about her grief during a recent podcast appearance, 11 months after DMX died on April 9 following a heart attack.
“I haven’t moved on. It’s hard, you know?” Lindstrom said through tears on the It’s Tricky with Raquel Harper podcast. “It’s really hard. I just take it minute by minute. Some people say you could take it day by day, but it’s second by second. My life changed so fast [in] the blink of an eye.”
Lindstrom said that since losing the “Party Up (Up in Here)” rapper (real name Earl Simmons), she’s been focused on herself and her son, and is currently in school to be an esthetician.
“I just want to build myself to be a great mother to Exodus,” she said. “I want him to see that he has a strong mother that can stand up on her own, and I’m just trusting in God through the process. I go up and down with emotions. I have to really force myself to keep it moving, keep going.”
Still, some moments are harder than others for her, especially holidays, which she said get “lonely,” as the rapper “was my family.”
Lindstrom noted that she often leans on her son — who is “stable” as he continues to battle stage-three kidney disease — and finds comfort in his positivity outlook and strength.
“Sometimes it’s hard, just looking at him. He has so many different qualities of his father,” she explained. “So when I do shed a tear, he’ll be like, ‘Mommy, are you okay? And I’ll say, ‘You just did something that was like your father.’ And he’s like, ‘Mommy, it’s okay, Daddy’s with God, he’s watching over us. He’s our angel.’ I just thank God that he gave me a son that is like that. He’s just like his dad.”
According to host Harper, Lindstrom and DMX were together for 10 years — and despite the fact that they never had the chance to actually tie the knot, lived as if they were married.
“One thing that Earl taught me was, who gives a f— what people got to say about you? I knew that he loved me, he knew that I loved him,” said Lindstrom, who said she was still “not even thinking” about dating again. “I feel like we [were] married. A piece of paper ain’t s—. Our love was real. He was there for me, I was there for him, and people know what the f— it was, period.”
Shortly after DMX’s death, Lindstrom got a tattoo in his memory reading “Dog Love,” as well as an “X” in the same font that the rapper used to stylize his name.
She also paid tribute to her late love on Valentine’s Day, writing on Instagram: “I know you earned your wings baby. I pray that you are at peace. Missing you too much this Valentine’s Day.”
This is what any woman gets who allows a man to convince her that a piece of paper doesn’t mean anything. Now she’s about to go to college and work hard, just to date another man who won’t marry her, and chances are won’t provide for her either. But at least she got to experience real love, without the death benefits.
Meanwhile Kenya Moore is out here crying, talking about she wasn’t seen in her marriage, and going through a divorce from a man who used her up and wants to take half of her house. Kenya was literally Miss USA and was/is one of the most beautiful black women on the planet.
