Singer Teyana Taylor and former NBA star Iman Shumpert have called it quits on their marriage of 7-years.
Taylor wed Shumpert in 2015 and share two children, Rue Rose, 3, and Junie, 6.
Teyana Taylor took to Instagram to announce the couple’s separation.
“In all fairness, Iman and I are separated and have been for a while,” Taylor, 32, shared in a written post on Instagram, Sunday. “To be 1000% clear, ‘infidelity’ ain’t one of the reasons for our departure. We are still the best of friends, great business partners and are one hell of a team when it comes to co-parenting our 2 beautiful children.”
She continued, “Most importantly we are FAMILY & in the 10yrs together, 7yrs married, we ain’t ever played with or about THAT.”
The reason Teyana chose to clear up the rumors, is because many assumed the separation was because of Iman cheating.
In her post, Taylor added that she and Shumpert, 33, kept their separation private at first, which was why “we’ve been able to successfully & peacefully separate without all of the outside noise.”
“The only reason I’m even sharing THIS part of the chat is because the narratives are getting a little out of hand & it’s unfair to all parties involved,” she continued. “I hope this provided some clarity for y’all. Okay AunTey taking y’all back out the chat bye! 😘❤️🌹.”
Shumpert did not share a statement on his own Instagram, nor did he comment on Taylor’s.
Prior to announcing their separation, Taylor’s last post featuring her husband was on his birthday in June. She called him a “king” in the lengthy caption as she described him as “one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever received.”
“Your birthday will always be one of my favorite days…Because on this day 33 years ago a super dope human being was born. My best friend, my husband, my children’s dad, my other half,” she continued. “Crazy how ya bday feels like my day cause you a gift.”
As for Shumpert, his last post about his wife came on Mother’s Day in May. He celebrated the mother of his two children, writing, “Your strength, persistence and patience has never ceased to amaze me.”
He continued in the caption, “As we continue to celebrate you year in and year out for being all you can be I love that we take time every year for this holiday. Your lil head fits all of the hats no matter the size…but there’s something so beautiful about that mommy hat, so pure and so forever! Keep on pushing the love and creating the memories that remind us what this life is about. We love you.”
Though Taylor and Shumpert are no longer romantically involved, the singer made it clear in her statement that their priority remains their two daughters.
In April, she told PEOPLE that her “babies are good” and remarked at how quickly they’re “getting big” — Rue Rose, especially.
“My youngest is talking too much,” Taylor joked. “I can’t believe she’s a talking two. She is a talking two, for sure!”
It’s very unfortunate to hear of the break-up. After his cheating scandal hit the net waves a few years ago, the couple seemed to heal, increase their bond, double their income with a reality show and become a favorite couple.
Has anyone else noticed that anytime a woman starts saying that a her man is a GIFT to her, the relationship seems to end?
Also Shumpert has been in the NBA in a few years. Who knows what athletes go through during an early retirement, having to find themselves and their identity all over again. If cheating wasn’t the cause of the break-up, his personal development journey definitely played a part.

R.I.P. to rapper Young Jeezy’s marriage.
The rap sensation has filed for divorce from wife of two years Jeannie Mai Jenkins, according to People.
The publication stated that the 45-year-old rapper, filed in Georgia’s Fulton County Superior Court on Thursday.
The filing states that the marriage is “irretrievably broken” and there is “no hope for reconciliation”.
The couple share an 18-month-old daughter named Monaco, who was born in January 2022.
Jeezy is reportedly seeking joint custody of the little girl — the couple’s only child.
Jay Wayne Jenkins, and Jeannie Mai were married on March 27, 2021, but are currently separated.
Jeannie, 44, and Jeezy have a prenuptial agreement and neither has yet spoken publicly about the alleged split.
Upon hearing the news, fans flocked to Jeannie’s most recent Instagram post to leave concerned comments.
One follower simply wrote, ‘I hope what I read is a lie,’ while someone else added, ‘I really don’t believe the divorce rumours.’
Another person added, ‘Listen, say it ain’t so. I don’t get in celebrity business but I’m hurt about this.’
Others begged the television personality to, ‘Please tell me the divorce rumors are false.’
Just last month Jeannie attended a concert at Atlanta’s Tabernacle venue to support her husband as he performed at Amazon’s hip-hop tribute City Sessions: 50 & Forever Featuring Jeezy & Special Guests.
And weeks ago she gave her husband a shoutout on social media for becoming a New York Times bestseller.
‘Today I celebrate a remarkable milestone achieved by my husband, @jeezy, whose memoir Adversity For Sale has soared to the New York Times bestsellers list,’ she captioned to her three million followers.
‘I’m endlessly grateful for your voice in this world. Honored to walk beside you my love,’ she added in the September 6 Instagram post.
The rap sensation replied in the comments, leaving two red heart emoji.
Mai has not been mentioned on Jeezy’s Instagram page since he wished her a Happy Mother’s Day in May.
He was, however, active on the site on the same day as his divorce filing, writing a cryptic caption to his 5.4 followers.
Posing in front of a Maybach car, he wrote, ‘Too focused on who I’m becoming to focus on who’s not coming with me.’
As far as fans and followers, everyone is shocked over this news.
In my opinion, black men carry a lot of trauma from childhood into adulthood and it shows up in their relationships. Many can not seem to carry on a healthy relationship. I know saying so will offend many people, but it’s simply the truth that needs to be addressed.

Another marriage bites the dust in Hollywood.
Although she just wished her husband a happy Valentines Day forever and ever on Instagram, Eva Marcille, 38, has filed for divorce from her husband, after 5-years-of marriage..
According to the court documents filed on March 23, 2023, in the Superior Court of Fulton County, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Eva Marcille filed for divorce from her husband, Michael Sterling, 41. In the paperwork Eva cited her marriage as being “irretrievably broken.”
TMZ reports that Marcille didn’t specify any reason for the divorce in the paperwork but is asking for primary physical custody, child support, and an even spilt of their assets, given she has three minor children under the age of 10; Michael Sterling Jr, Maverick Sterling, and Marley Sterling. She also declared there was no possibility of reconciliation.
The divorce news shocked fans, as the couple seemed to be doing fine.
The Sterlings got engaged in December 2017 and exchanged wedding vows on October 7, 2018.
Eva says she should be the parent who has the final say on all decisions related to their kids, as she feels she’s the fit and proper caregiver.
When it comes to assets, Eva says she wants an equitable split of everything they’ve acquired in the marriage and any debts they’ve racked up.
Eva was previously linked up to singer Kevin McCall whom she accused of violently abusing her after she got pregnant with his daughter Marley. They broke up in 2015 and Kevin’s music career went brick.
This is very unfortunate to hear another union come to an end. We send our prayers to both Eva and her soon to be ex husband.
These stories make you wonder why so many marriages fall apart. We are constantly preaching to women to become better women, but perhaps certain men should work on themselves to become better men in order to accommodate the high value women they are attracted to.
Perhaps that is the only way to have healthy, long-lasting relationships. That and actually seeking therapy and counseling when the problems first begin, instead of letting it linger and throwing each other away.

Sometimes with these reality tv stars you don’t know what’s real and what isn’t. And often with men in general you can’t believe the kind of things or how many crazy things men do to women or in an alleged relationship with women. They will turn almost any single, unaware woman’s life into a reality tv show.
Don’t act like you don’t know.
Stevie J who made some of the biggest musical hits of the 90’s, is one of those men. Steebie does not play fair in the game of love, but that doesn’t stop him from playing victim.
In the case of his most recent tweet, the producer is definitely in his feelings after begging his soon to be ex-wife for forgiveness.
Radar Online Reports: Court documents, state, “Faith, 49, has turned over her financial records to Stevie, 50, including a list of her assets and debts. The move is a necessary step before a divorce can be finalized.”
Evans going forward with their divorce may come as a surprise to some fans because Stevie had just shared a sweet message on his Instagram page, professing his love for his wife as they celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary.
Stevie J also publicly apologized to his estranged wife in May on Mother’s Day for all the pain he caused her throughout their relationship.
He wrote, “I’ve hurt you, disrespected you and humiliated you in front of the world. From this day forward I promise to listen to your feelings and be more delicate with your heart.”
The two have made headlines for both ups and downs they’ve faced together.
Stevie J shocked fans once he filed for divorce first in November 2021, for “irreconcilable differences” after three years of marriage.
In 2020, Evans was arrested for allegedly attacking her husband. TMZ reported, “We’re told Faith and Stevie got into a heated argument, and at some point, it turned violent. Our sources say when cops showed up they noticed visible marks and scratches to Stevie’s face.”
Today, Steebie tweeted that he felt used.
I am quite sure, Faith left when she was TIRED.
One thing for certain, if you can’t be used, you are useless, is a quote Kanye West once said. In the case of Stevie J and the women in his life, they have all equally used each other to create dramatic, eye catching television storylines that the fans fall in love with.
There’s just this whole thing of faking love for tv or anything else. (No. I am not saying they faked their relationship.) A relationship is a relationship and without love it will fall apart. Even with love, it may still fall apart if it’s unaligned. The point being LOVE is always a risk.
Hopefully both parties learned something from this union.
Celebrity or non celebrity relationship, toxicity is real. Every celebrity, wealthy person, entrepreneur, CEO, Executive and those who desire massive success should consult with a relationship coach and spiritual healer. Until one clears their soul patterns they will continue to attract toxic or unaligned relationships.

A special prayer for the Goddess Faith Evans, who may have forgot WHO she is, and is on her journey of remembrance. Through life experiences we are often humbled and must be reminded of our identity and called to rise again. Before we come to this earth we forget who we are, and come to earth to remember. Some people remember more areas than others in certain areas.
An example is some people have a 9-5 but were called to be a business owner. Other people are called to be an employee or a housewife, yet they are busy trying to build businesses. Some people were called to be a celebrity, but they are uncomfortable hiding and being unseen.
Without remembering who she is, her standards and her boundaries, a woman could find herself not receiving the love she needs to give herself, and thereforeby attracting men who don’t give her adequate love. When a woman doesn’t know that she was created to be loved, she may attract a man who also doesn’t know. Thus having a toxic relationship that will never work.
Love is required for anything to grow and get better. It’s like water. Love, water and sun are needed to blossom and prosper anything planted. How are you going to grow deeper in love with one another, if you hate each other?
Sooo, if real love isn’t involved in your relationship or the intention of it, then make your business together CLEAR and stay out of your feelings. The thing is, 9/10 those feelings will come. Only you will be in denial, cause you didn’t keep it real with yourself, about your desire for love.
It’s cool to say I want Real Love, Money, AND Fame. After all isn’t that what being a famous celebrity is all about?

To the shock of many, actress Tia Mowry has filed for divorce from her husband Cory Hardrict after 14 years of marriage.

According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Mowry filed the dissolution of marriage in Los Angeles County Courts and is citing “irreconcilable differences” as the cause for the split. The television star is asking for joint custody of her two children and wants the court to terminate its ability to award spousal support to either party.
Mowry claims the couple entered into a prenuptial agreement, which appears to have outlined things like splitting up property, assets, and child support.
Interestingly, the document says “pursuant to the parties’Premarital Agreement, all assets and obligations of each party are her/his separate property.” In other words, she will keep all that TV money.
It should be noted, Tia seems to be taking no chances with this divorce, as she hired Kim Kardashian’s lawyer — Laura Wasser — to represent her in the case.
Mowry met actor Cory Hardict on the set of their film, ‘Hollywood Horror,’ and dated for six years before getting married in 2008. The former couple welcomed their first child a few years later and currently share two minor children.
The divorce news will come as a shock to many fans, considering Tia is very vocal and open about her longstanding relationship in Hollywood. According to Essence, “After being together for 18 years, and married since 2008, Mowry-Hardrict said one of the things she loves most about their marriage is how Hardrict’s acts of faith and belief have elevated her own self-perception.”

The marriage between Safaree Samules and Erica Mena is officially dissolved.
According to TMZ, the judge signed off on the divorce September 12, after the exes came to an agreement through arbitration.
Among those terms … Safaree will cash out $4,305 a month in child support.
Erica filed for divorce in May 2021 and the two have been living separately since, sharing joint custody of their 2 young children.
The pair already unloaded their sprawling $1.3 million Georgia mansion in June. Erica will once again go by her maiden name.
Their entire relationship was on and off again. Many assumed that many of the couples online antics were simply for publicity. But it was truly their real lives playing out on social media.
Safaree would eventually come to the conclusion the marriage was his biggest mistake.
The “Love & Hip Hop” power couple were married for less than 2 years when Erica claimed Safaree was cheating while she was pregnant with their second child, and she allegedly trashed his stuff … effectively flushing the marriage for good.
Cheating shouldn’t be a surprise. If Safaree cheated on Nicki Minaj and risked losing his celebrity lifestyle, but of course she would cheat on Erica now that his fame is cemented.

It sucks, but most relationship comes to a fast end, especially in the celebrity world. Yet all relationships end eventually, even in death.
Safaree is now dating Kimbella Matos and Erica seems to be healing and taking it easy. But I am sure she has a line of ballers waiting for their chance to date her and will give her way more than that lil $4,300 a month she gets from creating a family with Safaree.

Jesse Williams and his ex wife have been embroiled in a bitter child support battle the past few months, and Jesse continues to win and get the upper hand on his ex wife.
Recently scored another massive win against his ex-wife Aryn Drake-Lee after a judge decided to lower the actor’s payment to a little over $6,100 a month. The decision comes after the former “Grey’s Anatomy star” requested the amount be reduced by more than $30,000 following his exit from the hit ABC show.
According to legal documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, the 41-year-old and the self-sufficient real estate broker appeared in front of a court judge on Tuesday, Sept. 6, for a hearing on child support.

The outlet reported that before Jesse took the stand, people in the courtroom were asked to leave, and the judge announced that he would lower the actor’s child support payments to $6,146 per month when he is in town and has custody of his two kids. When the “Station 19” actor is away, he is ordered to pay Drake-Lee a total of $7,953.
Last April, a judge agreed to temporarily lower the star’s installments to $6,413, a significant drop from the $40,000 he was obligated to pay monthly for his two children, 8-year-old daughter Sadie and 6-year-old son Maceo.
In a letter filed by the seasoned Hollywood star, Williams claimed he was not making as much since leaving the drama series. However, he also accused his former partner of investing the monthly payments into “failed or failing businesses while failing to seek gainful employment despite having an Ivy League degree, speaking three languages, and having a wealth of competitive real estate experience.”
He continued, “non-income-producing experiments such as a restaurant, in June 2020, wellness and apothecary shops is contrary to our children’s best interests.”
He added, “I am not trying to shirk my responsibility to support our children, but both parents have a duty to support the children, and Aryn has clearly refused to participate, insisting that I be entirely responsible.”
Drake-Lee tries to use the court system to get back at her ex
Williams and Drake-Lee met in New York City when the latter was still a school teacher. The pair ultimately tied the knot in 2017 but divorced five years later. The separation was finalized in October 2020.
The Grey’s Anatomy alum Jesse Williams filed papers against the real estate broker on February 8 accusing his ex-wife of “repeated violation of court orders” and “erratic, gatekeeping behavior” in court documents obtained by Us Weekly.
All this despite his “deeply connected, loving relationship” with his daughter and son. He alleged that his ex has taken the kids from their school and his home’s front yard on his custodial days. Not to mention, she ignores most of his FaceTime calls.
The actor went on to claim that the California native has “manic outbursts in front of the children”.Including in October 2021 when she allegedly screamed at him and “yanked Sadie from my arms like a rag doll” on Halloween.
He further alleged that Drake-Lee’s “unreasonable” legal filings and behavior are “a perpetual loop of the same disproven, unsupported tales and flagrant disrespect for the court’s orders”.
According to a TMZ report, one of Aryn’s many gripes was the fact that Jesse posts pictures of their children on Instagram. While most people find this type of thing to be doting and endearing, Aryn feels like Jesse is only posting pics to build public empathy.
Williams filed the documents in response to papers that Drake-Lee submitted in December 2021. She requested at the time to modify their custody schedule. Claiming that his work and other factors led to inconsistency and disruptions to their kids’ lives. She alleged that Williams had “demonstrated a lack of concern for [stability], often making decisions based on what’s most convenient for him at the time, rather than the overall best interest of our children.”

On the surface what Jesse is saying is true. Aryan had a ton of time, money, and resources to build a successful business. Heck she had enough money to hire someone to build out her entire business for her.
I also totally understand Aryan. Sis had a plan and executed well. She got her man to the top, but Sis forgot about herself, because no one probably told her how life actually goes.
The thing about MEN is that most women don’t realize THEY ARE MEN. Most men are not going to deny themselves of happiness in order to make a woman happy that he is no longer in love with.
Aryan started life off by taking care of Jesse and financially supporting him while he worked on getting his acting career off the ground. She was successful in doing so.
It’s common basic b*tch sense to believe that because you’ve shown this man you care about him a great deal, and 100% have his back financially, that he is now going to return the favor, provide for you, and allow you space to rest in your femininity and figure out what kind of passion business you would like to start.
As you can see with Jesse, that is not the case. He is over it and really sticking it to her. Most women are basic b*tches to men because they have very little knowledge of men and they will also self-sacrifice and give to man who is supposed to be sacrificing and giving to her. (Successful women often have the least amount of sense when it comes to men…. We’ve all been there before healing.)
None of that is a good idea. Over-giving and being a masculine woman often breeds resentment and bitterness as we clearly see that being played out in this case.
Some attractive men understand that most women are asleep to deep self-love and unhealed in their feminine core. They get unsuspecting women who finance them, sex them, provide for them and make it easy for the men to stick around for a little while.
Once he is financially stable or as successful as he always wanted to be, he moves on to the next woman.
Jesse even briefly moved on to one of Aryn’s friends.
Men are men and most of them have a need to protect and provide. At least the rich ones do. Which is why they are rich. If you protect and provide for him, you can’t serve him as a man. You take his job and make him feel un-needed. Then he spends time with a woman who needs him, who chances are makes way less money than you and doesn’t have to deal with the broke version of him, because now you’ve made him rich.
If a man wasn’t a rich, successful PROVIDER man from the jump, chances are you can’t turn him into one. It has to be in him, not on him.
Men say they want a woman that’s down for them before the come-up, but that stops in college. After that you have to accept a man for where he is. Once his POTENTIAL is up he’s a King, and if you have mothered him and provided for him, you may not know how to talk to that new King…
As far as her failed businesses, very few people will understand the huge amount of effort required to start a spiritual businesses that changes the world. Although she had everything she needed to be extremely successful, there is no telling the stress that she had to deal with that maybe caused her to lack clarity.
At the end of the day, now you understand WHY she’s bitter. It’s not about right or wrong. It’s about understanding your divinity. She acted like a masculine man financially during the relationship and now he sees her as such. He has no desire to make life easy or comfy for Drake.
