Letting Go to Rise: My Journey Into Healing and Next-Level Embodiment

by | The Life of Kissy

There are moments in life when everything shifts, moments you don’t see coming but can feel deep in your soul. Today, I experienced one of those moments. Unexpectedly, I found myself releasing pain and hurt from decades ago, things I didn’t even know I was holding onto. It wasn’t a decision I made consciously. It felt like God stepped in and said, “It’s time.”

I suddenly had a vision of leaving work, standing on the bus stop, to head to pick my son up from daycare.   My son’s father had called earlier telling me that he and his girlfriend would be at the bus stop waiting to beat me up when I got off work.  Not only did this man make me a single mother, but he was also upset that I didn’t want to be with him. A cheater, emotional abuser, and an inadequate father.  He did so many things to me. It wasn’t allowed by me. It just was.  God showed this to me and release me from that bondage.

Realizations That Changed Everything

I’ve spent so many years in survival mode, carrying the weight of betrayal, heartbreak, and abusive relationships. I thought I’d moved on from these things because I wasn’t actively thinking about them. But the truth is, they left an imprint on me. They shaped how I saw myself, how I navigated life, and how I interacted with others.

I realize now that survival mode wasn’t my fault.  It kept me safe, kept me moving, kept me alive. But survival mode also kept me small. It built walls around my heart, barriers around my mind, and limits around my potential. And while I didn’t realize it at the time, it kept me from fully embodying the woman I’m called to be. After all, most of these things happened to me before I even turned 21.

God’s Divine Timing

What struck me the most about today’s shift is that I didn’t ask for it. I wasn’t praying specifically for healing or doing shadow work. I was simply living, and God decided it was time to intervene. It felt like a divine release—like God was saying, “You don’t need to carry this anymore.”

I cried. Not because I was sad, but because I finally understood how much these old wounds had weighed me down. I felt gratitude for the survival mode that once protected me, but I also knew it was time to let it go. To move from surviving to thriving. To leave heaviness behind and step fully into my next level.

Humans Are Dealing With So Much

This experience reminded me of something profound: people are carrying so much pain that they don’t even realize. We’re all trying our best, navigating life with invisible burdens that shape how we show up in the world. I’ve always known this, but today, I felt it deeply in my own spirit.

The healing I’m experiencing isn’t just for me. It’s for everyone I’m called to lead. It’s for the women who look to me for guidance, who are walking their own paths of survival and transformation. It’s for the next generation of leaders, who deserve to know that life doesn’t have to be heavy, that healing is possible, and alignment is available.

Walking Into My Next Level

I feel lighter now, like a layer of fog has lifted. I’m walking into my next level with clarity, confidence, and a deep sense of peace. I’m no longer tethered to the hurt of the past or the habits of survival. I’m stepping into a new version of myself—one that is free, aligned, and ready to lead.

If you’re reading this and it resonates, I want you to know that healing is possible for you too. You don’t have to carry the weight of the past forever. Sometimes, God steps in to heal what you didn’t even know was broken. And when that happens, it’s not just a release…it’s a rebirth.

What’s Next

This journey of letting go has shown me the power of divine timing and grace. It’s reminded me that life isn’t just about doing—it’s about being. Being present, being open, being aligned. And as I step into this new chapter, I’m committed to sharing this light with others.

If you’re ready to step into your next level…to release the heaviness, embrace healing, and rise into your highest self—I invite you to join me. Let’s walk this journey together, knowing that the best is yet to come.

This is more than a blog post…t’s a testament to the power of healing, the beauty of alignment, and the limitless possibilities that await us when we say yes to the journey. 💜
